Abstract: This distinguished corpus relates to the global Learning and Teaching Corpus of ARCHI21 [oai : mulce.org:mce-archi21-letec-all ]. As part of the course Builiding Fragile Spaces within the project Archi21, the screen-recorded reflective session archi21-slrefl-sc-j2 provided the architecture students in the scenarios (sc) group with opportunities to "stand back" from the architectural macro task to give them better understanding of the ideas explored with their architecture teachers. This process was encouraged by asking them to recall and describe in their L2 the information given to them by teachers, to infer the relevance of this knowledge and to identify and express possible paths of future enquiry or direction for the development of their project work. ; The distinguished corpus archi21-slrefl-sc-j2 provides the transcriptions of verbal and nonverbal interactions of this screen-recorded Second Life reflection session that involved the group scenarios (sc) on day 2. It also describes the annotation methodology adopted. Verbal and nonverbal communication were coded using a pre-defined set of conventions. Indeed, a transcription manual was elaborated, following previous work by Ciekanski & Chanier (2008), to define and classify the conventions regarding the transcription of multimodal data. This manual was also based on the methodology of constitution of learner corpora (LETEC, LEarning and TEaching corpora; Mulce, 2010). ; The quantitative analyses of verbal and nonverbal communication in this corpus reveal 624 verbal acts of which 376 are audio acts and 248 are text chat acts. As for the nonverbal acts, we counted 784 acts: 753 kinesic acts, 4 acts of production, 24 movement acts and 3 appearance / disappearance acts. ; Discourse type: dialogue
